Me: I'm never going on a trip with Ed again. We have been sitting in a Presbyterian church for the past hour listening to the history of Christianity. Any minute now they are going to tell us that the government planted dinosaur bones to undermine the authority of the church.
Steve: Why do you hate Jesus? He loves you. Maybe.
Me: I prefer your version of the crucifixion. One cross for Jesus, two for the guys crucified next to him, and another for the kangaroo. (Jesus' pet that could have possibly prevented Christ from dying on the cross.)
Steve: Love thy kangaroo as thine loves thyself.

Steve: Hey. Where are you?
Me: In Santa Fe. Where are you?
Steve: What street?
Me: San Francisco. About to head into Mama's Minerals.
Steve: I'm close. Go outside and wave so I can see you. I'm in the silver car.
Me: Shoot did we miss you? I'm sorry. I didn't know you would be in Santa Fe.
Steve: I'm not. I'm at the casino in Espanola watching football.
Me: You little shit.
Steve: I know.

Dan: Everybody wants to be happy.
Larry: Depressives don't. They want to be unhappy to confirm they're depressed. If they were happy they couldn't be depressed anymore. They'd have to go out into the world and live. Which can be depressing.
I know who you are. I love you. I love everything about you that hurts.– Larry, Closer
The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect...– Nelson Henderson
